Favourites from the 2015 Academy Awards Red Carpet

Favourites from the 2015 Academy Awards Red Carpet

HAI everyone! This blog has awakened once again. Oh look, it's 2015 already...where on earth have I been?! Apologies for the absence but life got in the way for a bit. I know. Isn't that annoying? I've decided to change the format of some posts so let's see how it goes. :)

Let's start the blog this year with a post on my best dressed favourites from the 2015 Academy Awards. My top favourite this year is Jennifer Lopez in her beautiful Elie Saab gown. I usually wouldn't choose a dress in that colour but I will have to ignore that as the design speaks for itself.

My second favourite is Rosamund Pike in that red wonder by Givenchy. I have been loving that type of detailing on the waistline as it makes your waist appear smaller. We all want that, don't we? ;)

Have a look at the rest of the list and see if your Best Dressed choice made the cut!

Favourites from the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet

Favourites from the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet

Lupita Nyong'o has been crushing it on the red carpet with the bright colours. The bright blue Gucci dress, once again, striking against her beautiful dark skin. Some very simple designs have made it onto my favourites this time around but with the right shape and detail, you have yourself a gorgeous dress! Take Amy Adams' cobalt blue Antonio Berardi dress for example. No other detailing apart from the cut on the sleeve and the neckline. And I am quite intrigued with Michelle Dockery's J.Mendel monochrome dress. It looks to me like a vest and dress in one. Don't you love how her shoes match as well? :) Click on through to see the rest!

Favourites from the 2014 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet

Next awards show!

How beautiful does Lupita Nyong'o look in her Ralph Lauren dress? The bright red set against her skin is just beautiful! Loving all the dresses in this post, most especially Sarah Hyland's Georges Hobeika dress with the sparkly sheer back. Amber Heard's navy blue, thigh high slit Atelier Versace dress is effortlessly sexy. I think all eyes were on Emma Watson's Christian Dior backless wrap around dress. It really is eye-catching from behind as the front is quite simple. Continue under the cut for more pictures!

Favourites from the 2014 People's Choice Awards Red Carpet

Favourites from the 2014 People's Choice Awards Red Carpet

The 2014 awards season is finally upon us! Time to keep a watchful eye on what everyone will be wearing on the red carpet as I'm definitely looking forward to see the fashion at the Golden Globes and the Oscars. From this carpet, my most favourite look is Adelaide Kane. Absolutely loving that Rhea Costa white lace bodice dress! I haven't come across Rhea Costa before so I am now glad that I have another designer to follow. Second favourite is what Greer Grammer is wearing, a dazzling gold Mikael D dress. Again, for me, a new designer to follow!

I love Melissa Joan Hart but I think her dress is a hit & miss for me. Personally not fond of the print but love the shape of the dress and how it flares at the back. Best follower of the Spring 2014 monochrome trend is Beth Behrs. Also, glad to see some of my favourites from Naeem Khan's SS2014 on the carpet. Click on through to see the rest of my favourites and who they're wearing.

Photocalls & Premieres • Jennifer Lawrence • The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Photocalls & Premieres • Jennifer Lawrence • The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be popping up in cinemas in a few days so promotions for the film have been in full swing around the world. I decided to do a post on Jennifer Lawrence's red carpet outfits and accessories (a first!).

I've been loving most of her choices so far, especially everything she wore at the Paris Premiere. Her makeup that night is just the bee's knees! The other events had a more natural look, not too heavy on the eyes and lips. Now, the dress from the London premiere...not really liking the front of the dress as it looks like someone glued sprinkles on in a harsh line. The bare back, however, is a different story. The mini cape is beautiful with the way it drapes down and flows with the wind. The dress coat at the Berlin premiere is divine with the way the skirt flares and the intricate designs on the side. Anyone else loving the 'There's Something About Mary' hair vibe at the Madrid Premiere? ;) All in all, not a bad week of press junket fashion from Jennifer Lawrence.

I've listed what she wore from each event underneath the pictures.

Favourites from the 2013 Emmys Red Carpet

Favourites from the 2013 Emmys Red Carpet

My first post about fashions on the red carpet is here! I personally think these type of posts are time consuming to do, what with all the researching over & over on who whore what, but I think it's worth it so I can keep track of the designs I love. For all future red carpet posts, I will only be posting on the dresses that I personally like and in my opinion, are the best dressed ones. Sometimes it's hard to choose just one! I do not want to talk about any worst dressed ones as I'm not the Fashion Police. And why post about dresses you don't like? :p Anyway, here we go!

I've noticed J.Mendel and Marchesa seem to be the favourite of red carpet choices for this years Emmy Awards. A couple of colours seen on the carpet were reds, purples, pale blues & pinks, beige/cream, and the trend of Spring 2014, blacks, whites, and monochrome. Most wore slim fitted tube dresses and mermaid tail design which is a favourite of mine because of the way it accentuates your curves. Here, I've listed my favourites and what I personally think are gorgeous dresses in design & colour.
