Favourites from the 2015 Academy Awards Red Carpet

HAI everyone! This blog has awakened once again. Oh look, it's 2015 already...where on earth have I been?! Apologies for the absence but life got in the way for a bit. I know. Isn't that annoying? I've decided to change the format of some posts so let's see how it goes. :)

Let's start the blog this year with a post on my best dressed favourites from the 2015 Academy Awards. My top favourite this year is Jennifer Lopez in her beautiful Elie Saab gown. I usually wouldn't choose a dress in that colour but I will have to ignore that as the design speaks for itself.

My second favourite is Rosamund Pike in that red wonder by Givenchy. I have been loving that type of detailing on the waistline as it makes your waist appear smaller. We all want that, don't we? ;)

Have a look at the rest of the list and see if your Best Dressed choice made the cut!

Anna Faris in Zuhair Murad - Bringing sparkle to the carpet, Anna wows in this glittering gown.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Zuhair Murad - Simple yet elegant with the crystal details highlighting the shape of the dress.

Viola Davis in Zac Posen - The colour of the dress looks amazing when set against Viola's glowing skin. Loving the flow of the skirt as well.

Zoe Saldana in Atelier Versace - I don't think I can agree with the shoulder straps on this dress but the detail on the front lured me towards it. Zoe's figure looks amazing in this!

Chloë Grace Moretz in Miu Miu - Chloë never seems to go wrong with her red carpet choices and this gown passes with flying colours. It actually reminds me of the gown Anne Hathaway wore in The Princess Diaries at the Grand Ball (#TBT). I personally do not like the print though.

Jennifer Lopez in Elie Saab - As I mentioned above, this is my top favourite! You can't see it in this pic but the dress has a tail and it just adds to the elegance.

Kelly Osbourne in Rita Vinieris - I'm glad Kelly wore this dress as I have found another designer to love. Absolutely in love with the skirt! I think we all know my penchant for lace by now haha!

Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent - I have to say, it looks like a fancy robe but Margot is carrying the look very well. Her sleek side swept hair completes the look.

Anna Kendrick in Thakoon - Anna seems to be able to pull off any colour on the red carpet. I personally don't like the peachy pink shade on the dress but I love the design and she looks amazing in it.

Rosamund Pike in Givenchy - I can't take my eyes off of the fabric. As I mentioned above, the detail on the waistline is what caught my eye.

Jamie Chung in Yanina Couture - The first word that came to my mind is fireworks. You see it too, right? Loving the dark blue and nude combo. I do love these type of gowns so Jamie gets some brownie points!

Jessica Chastain in Givenchy - A very elegant design with different textures. I love it when textures get thrown in together, as you can see with most of my choices on the blog.

Rita Ora in Marchesa - I love the detailing on the bodice! My statement above rings true for this dress as well.

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji - Octavia looks amazing in this colour and style. The beautiful sparkly tail was what drew me in.

America Ferrera in Jenny Packham - America looks very fresh in this dress. The slight ombré at the bottom adds a lovely touch.

Scarlett Johansson in Versace - A simple style but as you can see on the bodice, the dark green detail adds dimension to the dress. How about that necklace huh! I wouldn't be surprised if it was a part of the dress.
